Biography

Anthony Bertelli is Senior Lecturer in Politics at the University of Manchester and Associate Professor of Public Administration and Policy and Political Science at the University of Georgia (USA).

He earned the PhD from the University of Chicago in 2001 and also holds advanced degrees in law and economics. In 2006, he held the Hallsworth Professorship at the University of Manchester.

His primary research interests lie generally in the political economy of public administration, applied formal theory, quantitative methods, statistical measurement, governance, American politics, and distributive public policy. He is a member of the editorial boards of the Journal of Public Administration Research and Theory and the International Public Management Journal. At Manchester, he teaches (with Francesca Gains) a course entitled Governance, ethics and capacity building.
