Project summary

This project aims to code the content of the policy intentions of UK governments, as expressed in Queen's and King's speeches, according to the policy agendas code frame. This will create a mainly annual dataset reaching back from 2005 to 1945.

The full research proposal, funded by the British Academy, can be found here.

In addition, we are comparing Queen's speeches with the US State of the Union addresses in association with Heather Larsen, University of Washington.
